Humans Are Innovators So Why Are We Becoming WEAKER?
Generational Health: It’s time we take charge of our health with innovations and inspiration.
Human beings are innovators, individuals that are constantly creating and doing things that have never been done before. Using incredible technology that has been adapted to fit right in the palm of our hand. With more computing capabilities than space shuttles from the 80s, we have truly come along with when it comes to our technologically advanced. However, with all of these capabilities in the palm of our hand, there are still major areas of opportunity when it comes to the focus of our health and the positive impacts desired.
Dr. Jaquish and I were in a meeting with surgeons at the West Point VA hospital with the intention of discovering how OsteroStrongs’ innovation could assist the VA. During the closing of our session, one surgeon said “We’re seeing a lot more fractures in people that go to bootcamp.” I found this interesting and asked what had changed, likely believing it was possible the bootcamp I asked. He says “No, the people are getting weaker.”
Physically we are getting weaker and that saddens me. Our skeletal strength and bone density happen during our youth stages where we build massive amounts of muscle, ligament, and tendon strength. Peak bone mass is at the age of thirty. So when individuals begin to experience fractures more frequently at boot camps or simply at a younger age the peak bone mass is lower than now than it was for those in my generation. This decrease brings about a whole list of health problems like Osteoporosis disease, Type 2 Diabetes, and many additional issues which our medical systems just aren’t equipped enough to handle.
My desire is that we start to understand that our health is something we can control and should be proactive about improving. We have the ability to make a positive or negative impact when it comes to our health, however by doing nothing we are headed in the wrong direction. OsteoStrong is just one of the many positive tools that can be used to positively impact our health and its longevity. In order for us to get better, we must know and do better by becoming more serious about our own health.
Our innovators and creative abilities give us the opportunity to achieve and do amazing things.
So, we must take the time to focus on our health and the importance it holds towards our future. I hope you all are on board with my vision because I believe we’re going to change the world and how we envision health.
