Why DEXA Scans Are Important
At 65, Sharla had a DEXA scan that diagnosed her with Osteopenia which was moving towards Osteoporosis.
“Taking lessons from my mother who did get osteoporosis and was very frail and fragile, I decided I didn’t want to go that route. I wanted to stay strong, active, and most importantly independent.”
For the next twenty to thirty years, Sharla wanted to stay with OsteoStrong and be a winner. Due to her age, the doctor recommended a DEXA scan and suggested that she check out OsteoStrong. Once she did and found it to be a good program, she joined and started her sessions.
Sharla’s DEXA scan results were phenomenal. Her spine improved by 11% and back into the normal range. Her hip was 2.4%, which is excellent. There was also increased improvement in her shoulder.
Sharla is thrilled overall with the improvement and thinks OsteoStrong is wonderful. She is still actively engaged with her grandaughters in the eighth, seventh, and fifth grades. Sharla can see them every day pick them up from school and even transport them to different activities they have going on or when they just come to her house.
“I can go to cheerleading competitions they are in as well as lacrosse and soccer games.”
Nothing is slowing Sharla down. She has always been super active because, as a former teacher, she’s used to multitasking continuously, and that was something Sharla didn’t want to stop.
“Once a week, I come into OsteoStrong and have my sessions on the machines. I appreciate the one-on-one help you may or may not receive when in a traditional gym. At OsteoStrong, they walk you through everything and cheer you on!”
“I love to hear “give it a little more” at the very end, and I can give them the extra push because I know that I may be breaking a record for what I had done in a previous session.
Sharla says she breaks her records a lot of the time at OsteoStrong. She enjoys the vibe plate, normatek compression boots, and PEMF therapy biocharger. Sharla likes the unlimited program to come in once a day to use the mat, boots, and even red light therapy.
“As an educator, I’d like to encourage you to check out OsteoStrong. I don’t think that you will be disappointed whatsoever. You will be amazed at the support you get using the machines and the progress you’ll see.”
OsteoStrong is a very positive, uplifting place, and you don’t have to spend hours there to see results. Sharla believes that it’s easy and very fulfilling and has been successful. She thinks you will be successful too.
